Aniko encouraged me to officially join the group. Please know that I am
honored to be counted amongst you.

When Aladar recently posted regarding a Kuvasz dog, it pulled at my heart
down to the depths of my being.

I am the product of Hungarian immigrants. My Hungarian roots are the root
of my strength. Like the Kuvasz, Magyars have been around since recorded
time. They have always managed to keep pure who they were, and the
qualities they possessed. No matter what has happened during the millennia
of atrocities, Hungarians have staying power, intelligence and loyalty to
one another and to their country.

Even the quibbling amongst the group here is endearing - the feisty spirit
is needed to endure. And the loving heart underneath it gives it the right
foundation for community.

I don't usually carry on like this, but I've so longed to be a part of a
Hungarian group that you've brought back to life the spark that I've held
dear all these years.

Hungarians all over the world - hold dear your Mother Country and do what
it takes to honor her.

Sandy

Miklos,

I've sent a plea for this cause to a contact at the Vatican. I don't know
where it will lead, if anywhere, but I send it with my prayers and faith.

Thank you, and all of you who have a heart for these people, and who
continue to work on their behalf.

Yes. But it didn4t really change a thing, did it? Or would you consider
the Tridentinum a renewal?
At least in Germany there is means for getting attention : if you
"unsubscribe", the Church looses apprx. 10% of your income tax ( as long
as you are member, German IRS would collect - for the churches - a
"church tax" of apprx. 10% of incom tax paid. ) - that hurts.

Hi Sandy

It worked for you this time, since you're coming in on email. See ... you
did not have to pass a 'quality control check' after all:-). Welcome to
the group! I am certain that you will enjoy getting to know all the
players in time ... (although a little gritting of teeth will be required
at times:-) why, with a little patience, you'll likely come to the
conclusion that the barks are far worse than the bites, and underneath all
them barks - are a fine bunch people, displaying personality traits
encompassing all ... Funny, sacrcastic, positive, nasty, compassionate,
know it all, quite stupid at times et al ... (not necessarily in that
order, definately not all listed, and most definately not excluding moi :-)!).

Enjoy! Don't let the flaming get you down!
Best, Aniko

Good try and thanks for the great lesson Joe:-( Sometimes, I don't know
what I'd do without ya:-)... To get back on track though, I was reacting
to your statement with two questions, which remain unaddressed in your
"enlightening lesson" as above. Here's your statement again.

"Such large numbers of unemployed are bound to push wages down".
Try again .... best,

I must admit that I am guilty of taking the bait, one can take only
so much. And Gabor is right about the word 'hate' not being the right
one. But the word was fitting at the time.

But he is busy doing it verbally all the time. I guess,we should be
thankful for small favors.

You are right again, Gabor. He argues like one. When things don't go
his way he throws a fit.

This is the most surprising thing about all this. I know that he'll
play the devil's advocate in order to have an argument. What can I say?
Perhaps I'll be able to control my 'temper' in the future.

Amos J. Danube writes, apparently in response to something written by Joe:

> I am still wondering whether Joe will ever say anything positive about

Temper, temper.

Based on what I read of Joe's writing, I think you might be misjudging
him. "Hate" is probably the wrong word to use. Just because Joe is
using the slogans the men in the padded jackets used to use, it does not
mean he is one of the men in the padded jackets, clutching his Kalashnikov,
and lining people up against the wall. Words carry different meanings
depending on the time and place where they are uttered. The cold war is
over. The outcome is no longer in doubt. Marxism-Leninism is pretty
obscure, harmless stuff now. Only a few nuns in South America and the odd
librarian in Ontario believes in this stuff anymore. Look at it as a joke.
Whether or not he actually believes the stuff he writes, I am sure Joe
means well. He would not hurt a fly. Not Joe. A real pussycat, that
Joe is.

What happened is that Joe found a group of people on this list who, being
refugees from Real Existing Socialism, feel personally offended when
exposed to Marxist-Leninist pap. A group of people with an obvious
hot button. All you have to do is press it, and people rise to the bait
in a knee-jerk fashion. Once Joe discovered this, he just can't stop
pushing the button time after time, and get his food pellet from one
reader or another. Just like a four year-old who discovered he can get
a rise out of otherwise sane grown-ups by uttering a few four-letter words.

It is up to you whether you want to be part of Joe's little game, but
I think it is important to recognize when you are being baited.
