The Sixth Annual Symposium on Environmental and
Occupational Health during Societal Transition
in Central and Eastern Europe
June 5-9, 1995, in Romania,
at a Black Sea location accessible from Bucharest
The Symposium provides an opportunity to exchange
information and experiences improving environmental
and occupational health services, education, research
and policy, and fosters collaborative relationships
between European and U.S. organizations and individuals.
Sessions will include:
Labor involvement in environmental issues;
Risk assessment;
Grass roots-NGO involvement;
Reproductive health;
Women and the workplace;
Clean production;
Environmental remediation;
Using the mass media;
Sustainable agriculture; and
Sustainable development.
A one-day industrial hygiene course will be given.
